Miami, FL plastic surgeon Dr. Bella A. Pacheco utilizes an exceptional approach that produces beautiful outcomes for our patients with a treatment called radiofrequency (RF) microneedling. RF remedies have been around for a number of years and are well-known in the cosmetic industry for their skin tightening effects. This specific type of therapy uses heat to promote collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin to create a firmer, smoother surface. This therapy can be used in conjunction with microneedling to maximize the results. At Aurora Bella Plastic Surgery, we often incorporate this new advancement into our patients' skin treatments to produce firmer skin, a smoother texture, and a glowing complexion.

Sun damage, environmental exposure, and age can all do a number on your skin, leaving it looking flat and lifeless. RF microneedling offers a cutting-edge solution for Miami, FL women and men who want to give their skin a reset, with benefits that include:

  • Improves the skin's texture and tone for a more even look and feel
  • Enhances the skin's natural glow
  • Promotes collagen and elastin production for long-lasting rejuvenation
  • Boosts confidence in the health and appearance of your complexion

Microneedling uses an instrument (with little needles at the end) that's rolled carefully around the skin to puncture and make micro-injuries that "interrupt" the cells and produce collagen. Some also refer to this technique as collagen induction treatment. New skin forms as the skin begins to heal, leaving the top layer looking and feeling smoother, brighter, and refreshed. While this procedure is usually done on its own, combining this advanced technique with radiofrequency microneedling technologies has allowed us to maximize the outcomes for our Miami, FL patients.

The process is quite straightforward. The handheld Cynosure® Potenza® device emits radiofrequency energy and provides short RF energy pulses through a collection of 25 sterilized golden microneedles. The power is delivered via the needles, which simultaneously punctures your skin and returns the electrodes to the skin. The RF energy warms at levels that provide cumulative and ongoing results.

About Us
How many RF microneedling treatments should I get?

Each patient is different, so some individuals may need more sessions compared to other patients. Our team will perform a complete evaluation of your complexion and listen to your needs and wants to help determine how many sessions you will need. On average, most people get 3 – 4 sessions spaced about a month apart.

Does RF microneedling hurt?

After a topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment area, you should have little to no discomfort during the procedure. Throughout the procedure, we will ask to make sure you are doing all right. After the local anesthesia wears off, you may feel a little discomfort briefly while your skin heals.

Can I combine RF microneedling with other treatments?

Even though RF microneedling delivers amazing outcomes by itself, you may consider getting it with another treatment for even more impressive improvements. In your initial consultation, we will listen to your concerns and goals about your skin before recommending RF microneedling or any complementary treatments.
